Designing a Seamless Patient Experience During a Pandemic
Project Overview
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Humber River Health established a vaccination clinic to provide safe and efficient immunization services to the community. To ensure a seamless patient experience, the clinic needed clear branding, intuitive wayfinding, and a welcoming atmosphere that instilled confidence in visitors.

This project focused on designing a cohesive visual system that balanced clarity, accessibility, and brand consistency, helping guide thousands of patients through the vaccination process with ease.

The Challenge:
The Humber River Health Vaccination Clinic needed clear, effective signage to manage high patient volumes and ease visitor anxiety. The original design, created under a tight four-week deadline, served its purpose but lacked strong branding and user-focused way finding. Now, with more experience, I reimagined the signage with intentional hierarchy, clarity, and brand cohesion to improve navigation and trust.

Creative Process

Concept Development
The redesigned signage focuses on clarity, symbolism, and brand cohesion to enhance the vaccination clinic experience. A clearer hierarchy ensures easy navigation with large, readable typography and high-contrast, color-coded wayfinding. Symbolic design elements, such as pill-shaped graphics, subtly reinforce the purpose of vaccination, while soft wave patterns create a sense of calm and trust. Lastly, cohesive brand integration strengthens Humber River Health’s identity by maintaining consistent typography, colors, and graphic elements, making the signage both functional and visually aligned with the organization.
