A Wellness Centred Approach to Student Organization
Project Overview
The IGNITE Agenda project aimed to provide Humber Polytechnic students with a practical, wellness-centered tool for staying organized, fostering personal well-being, and enhancing engagement with IGNITE’s services. By focusing on wellness, we offered students a valuable physical resource that extended beyond basic scheduling, creating a guide that prioritized wellness and connection to student life in an increasingly digital world.

Creative Process
Layout + Key Features
As the Art Director, I developed a strategy to embed wellness as the core theme of the agenda. This approach aimed to offer a product students would use daily while remaining engaged with IGNITE’s services.

Wellness Trackers: Water and mood trackers to help students monitor daily wellness.

Mindfulness and Creativity Exercises: Adult colouring pages, journal prompts, and inspirational quotes designed to foster mindfulness and creativity.
Service Engagement: Ads for IGNITE services and programs, each with QR codes linking to our website for deeper engagement.

In addition to leading and overseeing the project’s creative and logistical elements, I created and reviewed RFPs, coordinated with printing production to ensure quality and timely delivery for student orientation, and introduced distribution racks to simplify access and visibility.
Innovations in the 2023-24 Agenda
The 2022-23 agenda proved a success, with all 4,000 copies distributed within the first month, a marked improvement over previous years. Based on this success, we doubled the order for the following year, distributing 8,000 copies in just one week. High demand even led to students visiting IGNITE offices to request copies.

Building on the wellness theme, we introduced additional features to support student needs and engagement:

-
Period Tracker: Responding to student feedback and wellness trends, this feature provided a practical tool for health tracking.
-
Engagement Contest Ad: To boost interaction and track agenda usage, we included a contest ad that invited students to participate in an ongoing contest, fostering more consistent engagement.
